The Old Man and the Sea: on borrowing

First of all, can we take a moment to pay homage to Pa Ingalls' hipster hair and righteous beard, not to mention those dreamy pale blue eyes?

Quite the catch. 😍

Secondly, on p. 18 of The Old Man and the Sea around the middle where it reads,

"𝙄 𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬. 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙚𝙜."

Pa Ingalls sprung to mind when I read that. It was basically his mantra on debt and borrowing and it has stuck with me all these many years later.

What do you think of the quote?
